Ongoing formation, catechesis, and Sacramental reception
 are essential for forming our youth into life-long Catholics.
 Toward that end, Most Holy Trinity offers the follwing for our parish youth:

HIGH SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM (8-10th Grade)

High Schoolers, as well as grades 6 & 7, are invited to attend our Youth Group program. More information about Youth Group can be found HERE.

In an effort to provide our teens with catechetical experiences that both educate their minds and move their hearts to a life-long relationship with Christ, Most Holy Trinity has formatted its High School Program (8^th through 10^th grades) as follows:

• ONE MONTHLY MEETING, Sunday evenings, from August - May, to include grade-level catechesis, a shared meal and fellowship for students, as well as spiritual enrichment to which parents are welcomed.
• Regular attendance at ONE OTHER MHT Youth Group gathering each month, in addition to the Monthly Catechetical Meeting. 
• 5 SERVICE HOURS with theological reflection, due end of the school year. (See form on this page’s sidebar.)
• Attendance at a RETREAT during the year, as available.

Preparation for Confirmation aims to lead Christians toward a more intimate union with Christ; a more lively familiarity with the person, actions, and gifts of Holy Spirit; and an awakened sense of belonging to the Catholic Church and the parish community.
Confirmation is conferred in the Archdiocese of New Orleans in 11^th grade.

Specific required preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation includes: 

• Twelve hours of Sacramental preparation classes.
• Attendance at the Confirmation retreat. 
• Completion of five apostolic (service) hours with theological reflection. (See form on this page’s sidebar.)
• Interview with the pastor.
• Selection of a Confirmation sponsor to serve as a spiritual mentor. (Sponsor must be at least 16 years of age, Confirmed, and a Catholic in good standing. Sponsors must complete and turn in the required Sponsor Form. See form in this page’s sidebar.)

• Form is available on this webpage, or in the office, or at the parent meeting.
• Cost $40
• Please provide a copy of Baptismal Certificate.

• Six 2-hour meetings, Sundays, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Date TBD (fall)

• MHT holds an overnight Confirmation retreat. 
• 2025 Date: TBD, at Camp Abbey
• Note: All Confirmation candidates must attend a Confirmation retreat. Conflicts with our scheduled date should be communicated to MHT ASAP, in order that we might locate an alternate retreat option.

• Candidates must call the MHT office to set up interview.
• Available dates will be posted at a later date.

• TBD (Fall), 7:00 p.m. Candidates should arrive no later than 6:30.
• Practice: Wednesday preceding Confirmation, at 6:00 p.m., for candidates and sponsors.  Parents can stand in at practice if sponsors are not available.

• TBD 6:00 p.m., Family Life Center (tentatively in August)
• Any parent unable to attend the meeting MUST contact the Confirmation Coordinator before classes begin.
