Ongoing formation, catechesis, and Sacramental reception
 are essential for forming our youth into life-long Catholics.
 Toward that end, Most Holy Trinity offers the following for our parish youth:

High Schoolers, as well as grades 6 & 7, are invited to attend our Youth Group program. More information about Youth Group can be found HERE.

NEW HIGH SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION (8th-10th Grade) 

In order to better accommodate our parish families, Most Holy Trinity is introducing  a new faith formation program in the fall of 2025 for our 8^th- 10^th graders. This replaces our previous summer program.
This program will provide our teens with catechetical formation and an invitation to a life-long relationship with Christ. In addition, monthly parent presentations will provide parents with the resources and knowledge to support their family’s growth in and practice of their Catholic Faith.

2025-26 HS Schedule & Information

Parent Meeting: Tuesday, May 13^th, 6:00 p.m..  

Student Program Components:

• Monthly gatherings, Sundays, 5:00-7:30 pm, August – May 
  • 5:00 -  6:15 pm:  Grade level catechesis
  • 6:15 - 6:45 pm:   Dinner and fellowship - parents welcome
  • 6:45 - 7:30 pm:  Spiritual enrichment -  parents invited and encouraged
• Additional student requirements throughout the school year:
  • Attendance at one other Youth Group meeting each month
  • 5 service hours
  • Retreat attendance (FYI...NOLA Youth Conference, a day long retreat held at Jesuit, will be held Saturday, Sept. 27th. MHT will provide transportation. Info and registration to come later.

Parent Faith Formation Opportunities:

Parents are invited and encouraged to attend monthly parent formations sessions. Sessions will be offered at two different times each month:

• Sundays, 5:00 - 6:00 pm, while high schoolers attend their catechesis
• Sundays, 10:15 - 11:15 am,  while PSR is in session.

2025 confirmation (11TH GRADE)

Preparation for Confirmation aims to lead Christians toward a more intimate union with Christ; a more lively familiarity with the person, actions, and gifts of Holy Spirit; and an awakened sense of belonging to the Catholic Church and the parish community.
Confirmation is conferred in the Archdiocese of New Orleans in 11^th grade.

Specific required preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation includes: 

• Twelve hours of Sacramental preparation classes. (six 2-hour classes)
• Attendance at the Confirmation retreat. 
• Completion of five apostolic (service) hours with theological reflection. (See form on this page’s sidebar.)
• Interview with the pastor.
• Selection of a Confirmation sponsor to serve as a spiritual mentor. (Sponsor must be at least 16 years of age, Confirmed, and a Catholic in good standing. Sponsors must complete and turn in the required Sponsor Form. See form in this page’s sidebar.)

• Form is available on this webpage, or in the office, or at the parent meeting.
• Cost $40
• Please provide a copy of Baptismal Certificate.

• Six 2-hour meetings, Sundays, 5:00-7:00 p.m., Beginning Sept. 14th, 2025 
• 2025 Confirmation Info & Schedule

• MHT holds an overnight Confirmation retreat. 
• Date: Saturday morning Oct. 18th (arrive 9:00-9:30.m.) through Sunday, Oct. 19th (pick-up 11:00-11:30 a.m.) at Camp Abbey.
• Note: All Confirmation candidates must attend a Confirmation retreat. Conflicts with our scheduled date should be communicated to MHT ASAP, in order that we might locate an alternate retreat option.

• Candidates must call the MHT office to set up interview.
• Available dates will be posted at a later date.

• Thursday, Nov. 6th,  7:00 p.m. Candidates should arrive no later than 6:30.
• Practice: Wednesday preceding Confirmation, at 6:00 p.m., for candidates and sponsors.  Parents can stand in at practice if sponsors are not available.

• Tuesday, August 12th, 6:00 p.m., Family Life Center 
• Any parent unable to attend the meeting MUST contact the Confirmation Coordinator before classes begin.
